![]() ![]() With Breaking Ground players will receive a new suit that is futuristic in aesthetic and tied to the science-focus of this expansion. A New Suit: Of course, the ever-important Kerbal fashion can never be forgotten. To coincide with these new parts, the addition of a robotics controller system will let players coordinate the behavior of all the different parts on their craft. ![]() Robotic Parts: Long-requested robotics parts will now be available for use in Kerbal Space Program! A hinge, piston, rotor, and rotational servo in various sizes will allow players to tackle new challenge as well as enhance the creativity of their crafts.By attaching the new robotic rover arm to their rovers, players can scan the larger surface features to collect important scientific data. While smaller surface features can be transported back to KSC by Kerbals themselves, larger ones provide a greater challenge and will require Kerbals to venture out in rovers or send unmanned rovers. Meteors, craters, rock outcroppings, cryovolcanoes and more now populate the landscape. Surface Features: A major addition with Breaking Ground is found on the celestial bodies scattered throughout the solar system. The active seismometer in particular asks players to deliberately crash things into a celestial body to gather seismic data! These pieces of equipment must be left out for a period of time to fully collect all of the scientific data and relay it back to Kerbin. Upon reaching their destination, players will need to deploy the equipment, which includes a central station, booster antenna, solar panel, weather station, active seismometer, RTG, goo observation, and ion detector. Players will be able to utilize a storage container in their craft that can hold various pieces of science equipment. Deployed Science: Scientific experiments have always gone hand-in-hand with space exploration and are now becoming an even greater focus in Kerbal Space Program. These all operate under realistic physics with real forces and torque, electricity consumption, and even motor mass. Keep in mind that KSP numbers the stages backwards, with stage 0 being the last one activated. I haven't used the XBox version, so I don't know which buttons you'd use for this. While gathering that data, newly added surface features have been scattered across the solar system, which players will need to go out in search of to either scan or bring back to Kerbin for further examination.Īdditionally, robotic parts are being added! A hinge, piston, rotor, and rotational servo in various sizes will be accessible to massively alter the possibilities of players’ crafts. 3 Answers Sorted by: 23 When designing your rocket, put all the engines on the same stage, then press the 'activate stage' button to activate them. Heres how i think it should be done, develop something like ckan but for xbox one that lets you pick and install mods on demand. After landing on a celestial body, a variety of data collecting equipment can now be deployed to conduct scientific experiments. So my question is could such an ingame mod Mainframe be Coded for kerbal? So that the Console community can have as much content as the PC community? In fallout 4 you can select every mod that was Made for PC and they are updated nearly on every Day. External mods wont be allowed but if it is in a ingame database than this is another matter. Its just a matter how mods are getting handled ingame. As an example fallout 4 has a great ingame Mainframe for mods from the community. I know it Has been asked before but its not like there arent games on xbox one that have mod support already. If there was enough demand and support to bring mods to Farming Simulator on console, I really don't see why KSP shouldn't have mods on console. I am aware that not every KSP mod would work well on console, but that doesn't mean that console shouldn't see any mods. Hell, the mod makers could/should even be compensated. Mods for KSP on console would just require approval from Squad, Microsoft and/or Sony, and the mod maker. Malicious mods are nothing new, and they would never be allowed to get anywhere near a console. That doesn't mean that they don't allow mods. Microsoft and Sony would never allow unregulated mods on their console, for obvious reasons like the one you mentioned. It is the sequel to 2015s Kerbal Space Program and was released in early access on February 24, 2023, for Windows, with releases for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S planned for after early access. (Exaggerating a little for hyperbole, but you get the idea) Kerbal Space Program 2 is an upcoming space flight simulation video game developed by Intercept Games and published by Private Division. Sony/MS are not going to let you install those sort of mods. KSP plugins are basically computer programs in their own right (there is a technical term for it, I'm forgetting what it is though, something like "unmanaged code").īasically, if I really wanted to (and you were stupid enough to give KSP root/admin access), I could write a plugin that would delete your OS drive, or at least significant parts of it. The Farming Simulator mods are 99% models, and a couple of scripts. ![]()
